We’re a locally owned kitchen and bathroom remodeler out of Franklin. No franchise, no sales team, no handing your house off to whoever is available that week.

Black Label Building was built around the values that still guide every project we take on: honest communication, quality craftsmanship, and respect for the people whose homes we work in.
We’re a locally owned remodeling company based in Franklin, and most of our work is in the communities around us: Muskego, New Berlin, Oak Creek, and across Southeast Wisconsin. These are our neighbors, and many of the homes we work in are a lot like our own. That shapes how we approach every job, from the way we plan a project to the way we leave a house at the end of each day.
Joe Champagne founded Black Label Building in 2020, after several years of interior and exterior remodeling work. Over those years, he saw the same things happen to homeowners again and again: calls that didn’t get returned, a revolving door of contractors coming through their house, costs that changed without warning, and work that was finished fast instead of finished right. He started Black Label Building to be the kind of contractor he’d want in his own home. That means someone who answers the phone, tells you the truth, and treats your space like it’s his.
That approach hasn’t changed as we’ve grown. Joe still meets every client in their home and walks through each finished project with them, because he wants people to feel good about the whole experience, not just the finished room.
Today, Black Label Building is a team of skilled craftsmen who bring those same standards into every home we work in. Many of our projects come from past clients and the friends and neighbors they’ve sent our way, and we don’t take that for granted.
